Languages and translations

Eight languages for the interface, translation and search, and the sources of the translations.

The language chosen under View → Language applies to the application's interface, the translation, the surah names, and the way search works.

The translations come from QuranEnc.com (Rowwad Translation Center) and are used under its terms: unchanged, with the publisher and version stated, and with their footnotes. Indonesian uses the translation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia; English, Saheeh International. All translations are included in the application, and the translation for the chosen language is installed into the database when that language is first chosen.

The Arabic text is always the Uthmani text of the Tanzil Project, and the mushaf is always the Madinah Mushaf, whichever language is chosen.
